PHOTOS: Philly got fancy at Hair O’ The Dog

Philly’s fanciest came out Saturday night for the 22nd annual Hair O’ The Dog gala, which draws a young-ish crowd of decked out partiers, some in glamorous gowns and tuxes, some competing to see how much skin they can show and still be considered dressed in formalwear.

The event, which included food, five hours of open bar, live music and body-painted models, was at the elegant Crystal Tea Room in the Wanamaker building across from City Hall. Nearly 2,000 people showed up, paying $160 and up for tickets, with a portion of the proceeds going to Penn State’s Dance Marathon, THON, a fundraising effort to fight pediatric cancer.

The music, in three different areas, was from the extra energetic cover band Go Go Gadget, 11-piece The Business, playing throwback hits, and DJs Jason Weiss and Mike Galioto.
