More than 40,000 people took part in Philadelphia’s 22nd annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure along the Schuylkill River.

The Philadelphia Art Museum’s front steps served as the meeting spot for thousands who walked the route, which included Martin Luther King Drive.

Organizers said 100,000 spectators joined the participants. The total raised was not yet available last night.
