Police: 15-year-old girl sexually assaulted in Juniata Park

Philadelphia police are investigating the sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl who was allegedly snatched in broad daylight Wednesday in Juniata Park.

Authorities said the alleged incident took place on the 1400 block of East Bristol Street around 2 p.m. The girl reported that she was walking home from the store when an unknown male grabbed her from behind and pulled her into a van. He then drove around the area, parked and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, light complexion, in his 20s, with a mustache and medium build. He was reportedly operating a white van.

The Special Victims Unit is investigating the incident.

Additionally, SVU sent out a bulletin regarding an alleged flasher in Southwest Philadelphia. A 46-year-old woman reported seeing an unknown male on her porch Wednesday on the 6900 block of Paschall Avenue around 2:15 p.m. She confronted the male who was exposing himself and masturbating. According to the report, the male tried to enter her house, but fled on foot down 69th Street toward Woodland Avenue.

The offender is described as

a black male, roughly 20 to 25 years of age, approximately 5-foot-5, medium build, dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and had a lanyard with a key around his neck.
