Members of the Philadelphia and North Wildwood police departments on Friday arrested Dennis Woods, 37, who was less than two weeks ago named a person of interest in a rash of at least nine sophisticated ATM burglaries and fires that took place in June through August around Philadelphia.

Investigators said officers at 12:15 p.m. took Woods into custody at the Aruba Motel, located at 2001 Surf Ave. in North Wildwood.

He was charged as a fugitive of justice from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is being held without bail at the Cape May County Correctional Center.

Woods, who police said also uses the alias Dennis Boyce, was found to have outstanding traffic-related warrants in North Wildwood, as well as a warrant related to defiant trespass in Deptford Township.

Woods, of the 2400 block of American Street in North Philadelphia, will after being processed be extradited to Philadelphia to face charges of burglary and related offenses.

Police said they won’t be releasing additional details of the investigation until Woods is returned to Philadelphia.
