Police arrested two men for their involvement in a South Philadelphia tire theft ring.

Officers patrolling the block of 700 South Front Street around 4:30 a.m. saw a blue Honda with all four tires missing. After further investigation, they found two other cars with missing tires and saw two men running from the area and jumping into a Honda Odyssey.

The officers arrested Angel Echevarria, 18, and Alexander Reyes, 21, of the 3000 and 4600 blocks of C Street, respectively. They executed a search warrant on the Odyssey and found a number of stolen wheels and hydraulic jacks and tools.

In addition to the three early-morning tire thefts, the men are charged in six other incidents in South Philadelphia between Bainbridge and Wolf streets and Front and 6th Streets reaching as far back as July 25.
