Philadelphia police have released surveillance stills of a vehicle suspected in a hit-and-run Friday night that left a 21-year-old woman in critical condition.
Officers shortly before 11 p.m. responded to Clarissa and Brunner streets in Nicetown.
Arriving officers found a car had hit a pedestrian and sped off, leaving the victim with critical injuries.
A witness told investigators she was sitting outside and saw the female pedestrian walking north on Clarissa Street in the bike lane.
The woman said she saw a car drive by and heard a loud bang.
The witness then ran to the corner, where she saw the victim lying on the ground as the car continued to drive north on Clarissa Street.
The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital in critical condition.
The striking vehicle is described as silver or gray in color Dodge Avenger or a similar vehicle.
