Delaware State Police are asking the public to help identify a couple accused of embarking on a shoplifting spree at a BJ’s Wholesale Club located at 2131 Kirkwood Hwy. in Elsmere.

The duo were caught on camera during their latest theft, which police said occurred around 11:40 a.m. Friday, when pair allegedly removed two cameras from a BJ’s display and took them to the rear of the store.

Investigators said the couple then took the cameras out of their packages and left the store with the goods in tow.

When employees tried to stop the two suspects near the exit, they allegedly ran to a red pickup truck with a silver tailgate and drove away.

The suspects, who police said are believed to be responsible for “several additional” thefts from the same BJ’s Wholesale Club, are described as a 5-foot-10-inch tall white male between the ages of 40 and 50 with a gray goatee and a 5-foot-5-inch tall white female, aged 40 to 50, with glasses.

Anyone with information on the suspects or crimes is asked to contact Troop 6 at 302-660-3799, or to submit an anonymous tip by texting CRIMES (274637) with the keyword “DSP,” calling Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333, by downloading the Delaware State Police Mobile Crime Tip App or by filling out this online form.
