Philadelphia Police have released video surveillance footage of a man lurking outside a Temple University student’s window before allegedly taking photographs of the woman changing her clothes. The victim believes the same man may have been spying on her and her roommate for weeks.

The victim, 20, spotted the suspect around 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 5, after he took a photograph of her with his phone and the flash went off, police said. He ran off and was able to evade the victim’s boyfriend who had chased after him.

It wasn’t the first time that happened, the vicim said. She told the student publication Temple Tab that she called police once before about the suspect. She said the same man had been spying on her roommate through the window for about a month, and added that she felt “violated” by the incident.

“My boyfriend was just hanging out in my room and I was in my towel and then I dropped the towel to get changed — when within a few seconds a flash went off through my window,” the victim told the Tab. “I knew someone took a photo and my boyfriend ran out and chased after the man who was lurking in the alleyway by my apartment building.”

The victim claimed her boyfriend tackled the suspect, who still managed to get away.

Police described the man as about 20 years old and 6 foot 2, with a thin build, and weighing 170 pounds. He has long brown hair, and was last seen wearing a black baseball cap and a black North Face jacket.

Anyone with information should call 215-686-TIPS or text to PPDTIP.
