Popular Old City bar Sugar Mom’s closes abruptly: Reports

Sugar Mom’s, the popular punk bar on Church Street in Old City Philadelphia, abruptly closed last week, according to news reports.

Brandywine Realtors, the group that operated the property, told Glamorosi the lease ran out and “that’s all I can say.”

Neighbors said Sugar Mom’s last night was Nov. 23. The bar had been renamed Sugar’s.
