PotterCon comes to the TLA

Germantown Avenue in Philadelphia’s Chestnut Hill neighborhood transforms into Hogsmeade during the Harry Potter Festival. Each fall, the celebration enchants with events including a Potter Pub Crawl, an opening Sorting Hat Ceremony, a Horcrux scavenger hunt, an all-day Quidditch Tournament at Hogwarts (a.k.a. Chestnut Hill College) and classes in defense against the dark arts. Local businesses, not to mention festival attendees, costume themselves according to the magical theme.
A. Sinagoga for Visit Philly

Harry Potter fans in Philly have a reason to be excited in 2017 with the first-ever PotterCon coming to the TLA on South Street in May.

Muggles and wizards alike are welcome, but must be at least 21 years old as day-drinking is a major component of the day’s festivities.

There will also be a live sorting ceremony, a Madam Malkin’s Robes for All Occasions Costume Contest and, of course, Potter trivia!

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased here.

If you go:
Sunday, May 14
2-8 p.m.
334 South St.

After you’re all set with your ticket, here’s a cool tutorial on some DIY wands!
