PSPCA investigating video of beer forced down gators’ throats

“How are me and my friends not internet famous yet?”

That was one of the statements heard on a Snapchat video made by two males as they tortured two small alligators. Those two individuals are now under investigation by the PSPCA’s Humane Law Enforcement team for possible violation of animal cruelty laws.

They chanted “Do it for state!” in the video a viewer sent to Fox29, showing small alligators being forced to drink a beer.

Later in the same video, an alligator is held aloft by its tail while a lit cigarette dangles from its jaws.

According to Fox29, who shared the video on Monday night, the video was taken in the basement of a home in Bustleton, and, allegedly, one of the individuals seen in the video is the son of a Philadelphia police detective.

Contacted Tuesday morning, Gillian Kocher, the director of public relations and marketing for the Pennsylvania SPCA, said that an investigation is ongoing into the video, but no one has yet been charged with a crime.

“We have leads, which we are hoping will bring the offenders to justice,” she said.

This is an ongoing investigation and this story will be updated as more information is made available.
