Philly’s former top cop got another cushy gig after he left office this month.

Charles Ramsey, commissioner of the Philadelphia Police Department for eight years,will become the inauguralDistinguished Visiting Fellow of the Lindy Institute for Urban Innovation, Drexel anouncedThursday.

The two-year appointment begins Jan. 25. and will have Ramsey working at the Lindy Institute, with the Department of Criminology and Justice Studies, andparticipating in Drexel’s civic engagement programs in the Mantua and West Philly community around the school’s campus.

Ramsey,who previously led the police force in Washington, D.C. and worked in the Chicago police force, was also recently hired as a consultant to the police department of Wilmington, Delaware.

That seven-month contract reportedly pays $16,000 a month.
