Rap battle: LeSean McCoy vs. DeSean Jackson

OK, by now you have all seen DeSean Jackson’s latest release, The Dip, which debuted last week. He and pal Gillie Da Kid released a mixtape on March 8.

Now, LeSean McCoy has taken his talents to the microphone. Well, sort of. The Eagles standout running back doesn’t do any real rhyming, but he is featured prominently in a rap video repping Harrisburg called “I AM HARRISBURG” that was produced by Meek Mill’s producer All-Steezy. The song is currently available for $0.99 on iTunes.

McCoy let the crew use his small caravan of luxury sports cars in the video and proudly pimps his hometown — McCoy is a Harrisburg native who attended Bishop McDevitt — in a segment after the song ends. McCoy states, “All-Pro, Pro-Bowl, I ain’t talking about all that. I am Harrisburg, 717.”

We have never been to Harrisburg, but — judging from the panoramic shots of VILLA, SeaBash’s seafood restaurant and Eddie’s furniture store — it seems like a swell place. We vow to learn about this, from Shady himself, when Eagles training camp opens. If he shows, of course.
