The man wanted in connection with two South Philly home invasion rapes — crimes which were linked because the suspect in both wore distinct red gloves –has officially been charged for those crimes, police said Monday.

Raheem Felder, 32, was apprehended on June 4 after tipsters identified him to police from surveillance video footagetaken near the scenes of the crimes.

Felder now faces charges of aggravated assault, rape, sexual assault, burglary, robbery, unlawful restraint, indecent exposure, simple assault, recklessly endangering another personand false imprisonment, police announced, related to an incident last month.Felder will also face attempted rape charges for another attack in March.

On May 25,a35-year-old womanwas awoken at 5:30 a.m. at her home on the 1800 block of S. Rosewood Street by a masked suspect standing over her bed, police said. He placed his hand over her mouth, demanded cash and took $10 before sexually assaulting her, police say.

Cops later revealed thatthe suspect had first burglarized the victim’s home, moved her car, then returned to sexually assault the victim.

Surveillance video showedhim parking the victim’s car.

Felder was also suspected in a March 26 rape just blocks away on the 1700 block of Chadwick Street. In both cases, the suspect wasdescribed as wearing red gloves.

In the previous rape, Felderallegedly entered the home on Chadwick Street around 3 a.m. through a front window, forced two children into a roomand attempted to rape their mother while demanding money. After the mother and her son fought back, he fled, reports say.

NBC reported that Felderwas released from prison in August 2013 on parole for aggravated assault and attempted murder.

Those charges reportedly stem from a 2001 arrest after Felder robbed a man at an ATM and shot the man in the head when he tried to defend himself. That victim survived. Felder was sentenced to 8 and a half to 17 years in prison.
