Onetime Republican presidential candidate, former U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania and eternal sweater vest aficionado Rick Santorum told a crowd in Washington, D.C. yesterday that conservatives will never have smart people on their side, according to a report from Buzzfeed.
Addressing those gathered for the Values Voter Summit, Santorum reportedly said, “We will
never have the media on our side, ever, in this country. We will never have the elite, smart people on our side.”
He went on to further attack the media and Hollywood, saying that “just a few people” sitting in offices at major outlets and studios want to control what the world looks like and force the rest of the country “to jump through the hoops they want you to.”
