Ri-Vick-ulous

If Donovan McNabb is worth $15 million a season, then what is Michael Vick’s net worth right now? And when exactly will the free-agent-to-be cash in?

If you didn’t think Vick was a viable MVP candidate before — by the way, he has been since Week 3 – then rewind the tape of last night’s 59-28 win over the Washington Redskins.

And cue the Super Bowl chatter. The Eagles (6-3) will battle the New York Giants next Sunday night (8:20 p.m., NBC) with NFC East – and arguably conference – bragging rights on the line.

But back to the Massacre in Maryland. On the same day, McNabb signed a long-term deal to remain the Redskins starter, Vick once again found a way to steal the show. On the Eagles’ first play from scrimmage, the human pinball machine dropped back and flicked the football 62 yards down the field, hitting DeSean Jackson in stride for an 88-yard touchdown. From there, the floodgates opened as the Eagles scored on their first five possessions to open a 35-0 lead.

Vick scrambled for a 7-yard score, he fed LeSean McCoy on an 11-yard shovel pass and hooked up with Jeremy Maclin on a 48-yard touchdown. In between, Vick handed it to backup running back Jerome Harrison, who rumbled in for a 50-yard score. The Eagles didn’t punt until there was 11:12 remaining in the second quarter.

The Eagles’ 45 first-half points were the most in franchise history. Their 59 points were the second-most total points in the Super Bowl era, just three points off the record.

Vick, who now boasts a 105.3 rating, completed his first 10 passes for 246 yards and three touchdowns. The quarterback finished the night going 20-of-28 for 333 yards and four touchdowns through the air. His rating was 150.7. He also ran for 80 yards and two more?TDs.
