Roswell Friend: Body of Missing Temple Grad Found

The body of missing Temple grad Roswell Friend, 22, was discovered yesterday morning, a police spokeswoman confirmed last night.

Friend’s body was found by New Jersey State Troopers around 9:45 a.m. in the Delaware River off the shore of Riverton. Family members identified him yesterday afternoon.

Friend was last seen Thursday around 7:30 p.m. when he went running and
did not return, police said. He left his car keys, his wallet and his cell phone
at home. His family reported him missing after he did not show up for a job
interview last Friday.

According to the Baltimore Sun, a friend said that Friend seemed upset when he left his house on the 1700 block of N. Willington Street Thursday
evening. The Sun also reported that Friend scrawled “Sorry guys” on a white board in his house and posted “I’m sorry everyone” on
his Facebook
page before he left.

Friend, a graduate of the School of Communications
and Theater, was a member of the track and field team. Loved ones described the
22-year-old Maryland native as a kind person who was always smiling.

“To know you was a privilege, to pray for your those who love you is a duty, and
to remember you is a given,” said one poster on the Remembering Roswell Friend Facebook page. “Love you bro.”
