Silver alert: 82-year-old man found after going missing at Parx Casino

An 82-year-old man who became the subject of a silver alert after leaving the Parx Casino in Bensalem early Saturday morning has been found, police said today.

Dominick Paparella’s wife drove the West Windsor, N.J. man to the casino on Friday in a silver Infiniti I30, according to investigators. But the two apparently became separated sometime before 5 a.m. Saturday morning and Paparella left in the couple’s car as his wife remained inside, police said.

Paparella has dementia and hadn’t driven in over a year, according to authorities. Police on Saturday said he is “unaware of locations” and believed he may have traveled back to New Jersey or elsewhere in the Tri-State Area.

Paparella was located last night in good health, according to
investigators. He returned to the casino, got out of his car and
couldn’t find the vehicle again. He asked for help in locating the car,
but the driver departed before realizing he was a missing person.
