Michael Carter-Williams leads all NBA rookies in several key stat categories, and will participate in this year’s All-Star Weekend in New Orleans.

The 76ers announced Wednesday evening that rookie point guard Michael Carter-Williams will represent the Sixers in the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge during NBA All-Star Weekend in New Orleans.
Carter-Williams leads all rookies this season in scoring (17.4 ppg), rebounding (5.6 rpg), assists (6.7 apg) and steals (2.41 spg).
The only rookies in NBA history to average at least 17.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists for an entire season are Oscar Robertson, Magic Johnson and Steve Francis.
This is the third straight year that rookies will face off against sophomores in the game, to be held Friday, Feb 14.
