Sullivan Elementary School deemed safe following evacuation for mysterious odor

Fire officials have not determined the source of a mysterious odor that led to the evacuation of James J. Sullivan Elementary School in Wissinoming this morning, and have deemed the building safe for students to return.

At about 8:40 a.m., someone from the school reported a mysterious odor at the K-5 school on 5300 Ditman Street, according to Executive Fire Chief Richard Davison. The fire department dispatched its Hazmat team and declared the incident under control at 8:51. PGW was also on location.
