If anyone needs a break this summer, it’s HughE Dillon, celebrity photographer and founder of the popular website, Philly Chit Chat. The man-about-town has a passion for the city of Philadelphia, especially when the weather gets warm. This summer, he’s looking forward to swanky social events like Diner en Blanc, Pitbull’s performance for July 4th and much more.

What do you love most about Philly in the summer? Everyone is outside, dining outside, sitting in the parks, BBQing, enjoying festivals and exercising in Fairmount Park. I love talking to tourists who come to Philly’s historic areas —  giving them directions and tips.

Best way to keep cool? Running through the fountains at Dilworth Park and sitting down at Penn’s Landing, enjoying the breeze. I also love Schuylkill Banks where you can enjoy the breeze from folks biking by on the path.

Best thing to eat in the summer in Philly? Sugar free water ice and sugar free gelato.

Best way to spend a free day? I love to go sit in one of the beautiful historic parks near Independence Hall.

Favorite outdoor event? The outdoor event I’m looking forward to most is July 4th, because I love Pitbull, he’ll get the crowd up and moving. I love how concert goers dress in red, white & blue — makes for great photos.

Best place to hang out with friends? Any of the PHS Beer Gardens. They’re always in interesting spots, in the open air to enjoy the city skyline, and are actual gardens.

Best summer memory in Philly? I love attending Diner en Blanc in August. Everyone one of them have been a great memory, even the ones where it rained.
