Burlington City police are searching for a suspect aftera shooting Saturday night that left one man dead and injured a toddler.

Samuel James, 26, has been charged with murder after allegedly shooting Byron Turner, 24, outside his home in Burlington, new Jersey, according to the Burlington County Times.

James is still at large, and has been known to stay in Burlington City and Camden. He is described as black, around 6 feet tall and about 140 pounds.

The suspect’s last known address was on Route 130 in Burlington Township, city and county officials said Sunday.

Police were called to the scene after reports of gunfire around 7 p.m.Turner, who lived on East Federal Street in Burlington, was transported to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he died around 10 p.m., the Burlington County Timesreported.

A 5-year-old girl was in the area during the shooting, according to 6ABC. She was injured while retreating from gunfire, but was not shot.

The girl was transported to Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center for injuries that were not life threatening.
