A 48-year-old man wanted for the rape of a teen inside an Upper Darby church has surrendered.

Troy Posey turned himself in to police following an extensive “media blitz” Wednesday seeking the public’s help in putting him behind bars, Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said in a Twitter post Thursday morning.

“Media blitz leads to surrender of bad guy. He’s safely tucked away in jail. Yeah!” Chitwood said on Twitter.

Posey is accused of raping a 19-year-old woman inside Bethel Community Baptist Church on March 22. He is also accused of raping a young girl on multiple occasions between 2009 and 2012, according to reports, and faces 210 charges in connection with that case.
