Teen girl killed by stray bullet in West Philly

An 18-year-old woman was killed by a stray bullet in West Philly on Saturday, ABC Philly reported.

The incident happened around 11:45 p.m. on the 400 block of North Salford Street, near North 60th and Callowhill streets.

The victim was reportedly sitting outside her home “when gunfire erupted nearby. The victim, who was not the intended target of the shooting, was hit in the chest by a stray bullet,” NBC Philly reported.

She was then taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where she was pronounced dead at 12:05 a.m. Sunday.

There is no word on any arrests or leads on who may have fired the gun that killed her.
