Joyner-Francis was the victim of a beating in a bathroom at Howard High School of Technology in Wilmington, authorities have alleged.

Earlier, authorities announced that charges could be coming pending the results of a medical examiner’s report.

That report found Joyner-Francis died due to a heart condition, but that she would not have died had she not been attacked, according to a statement from the Delaware Department of Justice.

Authorities believe Snow and Wright were involved in the alleged assault, they also believe only Carr hit the victim, according to the DOJ release.
