The Eagle has landed: DeSean Jackson arrives

Eagles fans can rest easy: DeSean Jackson has arrived.

The disgruntled All-Pro wideout, who had been holding out due to a contract dispute, reported to Lehigh yesterday afternoon.

Jackson watched the team’s walkthrough in the early afternoon before taking the field shortly before 3 p.m. in a green No. 10 jersey and matching visor. Fans in attendance greeted the big playmaking receiver with a large round of applause.

The Eagles have said they are amenable to giving their star wideout a new deal, but would not do so until he showed up for camp. Now that Jackson has arrived, all parties involved hope it’s just a matter of time until a new contract is worked out.

“I think that’s obvious,” Jackson told the media regarding wanting a new contract. “As far as how we go getting it done is the biggest thing. I have a year left under my contract. Hopefully something will work out. I think it will. I?will play. I will practice.”

While he’s unhappy with his contract, Jackson said he is happy to be back with the Eagles.

“It feels good to be back,”?he said. “Being an Eagle this season is something I look forward to. I always want to be an Eagle. I’m happy to be back out here.”
