Three teens are dead after a speeding car hit a curb, flew through the air and was split length-wise by a tree in a Bustleton crash Wednesday night.
Two 17-year-old girls were ejected from the vehicle and died. A 17-year-old boy who was found in the back right seat also died in the crash, police said Thursday.
A 20-year-old male was found in critical condition near the vehicle, while the driver is currently hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said the accident occurred around 11:40 p.m. on Wednesday on SandmeyerLanenear Red Lion Road.

“The vehicle couldn’t negotiate a turn, hit a curb, went airborne, and hit a tree,” said Accident Investigation Division Capt. John Wilczynski.
The 2007 Honda Acura had five people inside and was speeding, possibly faster than 75 miles per hour, Wilczysnki estimated.
Surveillance camera shows another car also driving at a high rate of speed near the Acura that hit the tree, he said.
Police are urging the drivers of that car to come forward to provide more information to the police about the crash.
Wilczynski declined to comment on whether the drivers were drag racing but did call it “reckless driving.”
“We have people now that are dead as a result of this,” Wilczysnki said. “It’s a horrible crash.”
No criminal charges have been filed against the driver, who was at Jefferson University Hospital on Thursday afternoon and was cooperating with police, Wilczysnki said.
