Three murders in four hours over bloody weekend

Police dealt with three bloody homicides across Philly in just a short few hours Saturday night.

An unknown killer on the loose pumped nine rounds into a car in North Philly, killing a man and wounding a young woman.

Two shooting victims were found in a car on Saturday just before 11 p.m., one deceased and one wounded, inside a Dodge Charger on the 3800 block of Park Avenue near Broad and Erie avenue.

Police were called to the scene around 10:43 p.m. after calls of a person with a gun.

The passenger of the vehicle, a 20-year-old black male, was shot in the chest, left arm and left hip. Paramedics brought him to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 11:08 p.m.

The car’s driver, a 17-year-old teenage girl, sustained gunshot wounds to her legs and back. She was in critical condition at Temple.

No motive was listed and no arrests were reported.

An hour later, at 11:50 p.m., police received a call to the 4900 block of Griscom street in Frankford and found a black male who had been stabbed repeatedly in the chest and neck dead in the road. The male did not have any identification on him, police said, and there was no motive or arrests listed.

Just under three hours later at 2:43 a.m. early Sunday, police were called to the scene of another homicide in Southwest Philly on the 6500 block of Greenway Avenue. Officers from the 12th district got calls of a person with a gun and found a Hispanic male dead from a gunshot wound to the head on the street. People recovered two shells and one live round from the scene. No motive was listed and no arrests were reported.
