Three teens injured in multiple overnight Philly shootings

Three teenagers were injured in two separate overnight Philadelphia shootings in which the gunmen are still at large.

Around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, two teens were injured in a shooting in the Kensington neighborhood near the corner of E and Westmoreland streets, 6ABC stated.

While riding in a car that was struck by bullets 12 times, a 17- and 18-year-old were each hit once, 6ABC reported, adding that 22 shell casings were found at the scene. The victims were taken to Temple University Hospital in stable condition, and no arrests have been made.

Just before 11 p.m., two gunmen shot at a 15-year-old boy on Wister Street in East Germantown, hitting the victim in his hand and arm, NBC10 reported. The 15-year-old ran to a nearby eatery and was driven by a delivery driver to Albert Einstein Medical Center where he remained in stable condition on Friday.

Authorities recovered 21 shell casings from two guns at the scene, police told NBC10, which added that it was unclear if the teen was the intended target.

As in the earlier shooting, police have not made any arrests and are continuing to investigate, NBC10 added.
