Tony Luke Jr. circulates flyer of men wanted for ‘kidnapping’ cardboard cutout of Tony Luke Jr.

South Philadelphia sandwich king Tony Luke Jr. is circulating a “wanted” flyer on Facebook for three men wanted for stealing a life-size cardboard cutout of … Tony Luke Jr.

“Why do we want the cutout of Tony Luke Jr.
back?” the Facebook page belonging to Tony Luke’s USA posted Saturday. “Because it was one of the first ones we had made. Kids and
families alike have taken photos with him – it has a lot of sentimental
value to us. So do us a favor, if you know any of these 3 men, ask them
to consider returning him. We won’t ask questions, we just want Tony
Luke Jr. back.”

The sandwich shop is offering a month’s supply of free cheesesteaks, redeemable at any Tony Luke’s location, as a reward for the cutout’s safe return. All tips sent to [email protected] will remain anonymous.

The cutout was taken from Tony’s Luke’s Old Philly Style Sandwiches at 39 E. Oregon Avenue near Front Street in South Philadelphia shortly before midnight July 9. The three men, “dressed in business attire” were last seen leaving in a Philadelphia Yellow Cab.

“Whoever’s out there, whoever took my father, we just want him back,” Luke Jr.’s son pleas in a YouTube video. “We won’t press charges, we just want him back.”
