Two men and a woman were arrested Thursday for allegedly conspiring to lurea man into an ambush before beating him, robbing him, and stealing his car.

Briana Stewart, 18, allegedly played the part of bait in the scheme that left the victim injured two weeks ago.

A police spokeswoman said Stewart knew the victim, though she didn’t specify how. Stewart had his phone number, police said, and called him to come meet her on a late Tuesday evening a few weeks ago.

The victim, 26, drove to 70thAvenueand Broad Street around 11:20 p.m.to meet Stewart, police say.

There, after Stewart met the male’s vehicle, two males identified as Sione Lee and Elijah Maddox allegedly approached with handguns and ordered the victim to the ground.

“As the complainant was on the ground suspect[s] … kicked and punched him then went inside his pockets taking his cell phone, wallet, and keys then demanding the password to his phone while threatening they would shoot him,” stated a police report.

The suspects then took the victim’s 2000 Chrysler 300M and fled, police said.

Lee and Maddox were arrested Tuesday night after they were identified to detectives by Philadelphia Juvenile Probation, Criminal Intelligence, and the Major Crimes Fugitive Task Force, police said.

Stewart turned herself in on Wednesday.

All three are charged with robbery and related offenses. As of press time the trio had not yet been formally arraigned.
