On Sunday, Nov. 20, Philly PR Girl and Phan Cave are teaming up for the third annual Turkey Tailgate. Taking place at Schmidt’s Commons this year, the event will feature an open bar, a Thanksgiving Menu and a 400 ft. projection screen for fans to watch the Eagles away game against the Seattle Seahawks. The event is not without a charitable component and to get in the spirit of giving, attendees are encouraged to bring canned goods for Philabundance.

“There’s always something our community can do to support our neighbors. For us, paralleling Philabundance’s mission alongside other rowdy Eagles fans was always in the cards,” says Jacqueline McDevitt, owner of Phan Cave.

“As we embark on our third year hosting this tailgate with Philly PR Girl I am so proud to see the best fans in the world come together for a bigger cause,” she adds.

And what can attendees expect from this year’s event?

“This year we’ve upped our tailgate game to make it bigger and better than ever,” says Kate Marlys, owner of Philly PR Girl. “We have some star power this year with the event being hosted by TV Personality Gina Gannon.

There’s even going to be a Turkey Cook-Off and judges include local celebrities like Bex from 96.5 AMP Radio, Geno Vento of Geno’s Steaks, Tony Luke of Tony Luke’s Steakhouse and Roberta Pipito from the Philly blog, Homemade Delish.

For those attending Turkey Tailgate for the first time, Marlys has three pieces of advice:

“Don’t forget your canned goods — that’s what this day is all about. And even though we partnered with Crabby Cafe & Sports Bar, the event is meant to be outdoors, so dress warm. Finally, invite your friends. Tailgating is more fun with a big group!”
