A Jamaican restaurant and bar was the scene of not one but two stabbings this weekend, and police believe the same suspect is behind both stabbings.

The first stabbing victim was a 34-year-old male employee of Studio 7 Bar and Restaurant.

Police met him at 1:45 a.m. Sunday at UPenn Hospital.

“While working as an employee of Studio 7 Bar he was stabbed in the chest by a unknown black male during a dispute over a food order,” the victim claimed, according to a police report.

That victim was listed in stable condition.

Police discovered the second victim, a 36-year-old male who was working as a bouncer at Studio 7, at 4:27 a.m. after meeting him at Mercy Hospital.

The bouncer told police “he was stabbed by an unknown black male while breaking up a fight,” according to a police report.

The bouncer sustained a stab wound to the left tricep, and after being released from the hospital declined any further involvement with police or transportation.

The suspect was described as a heavy set black male with brown eyes, with a medium complexion and estimated to be in his late 30s.
