Police are investigating a stabbing that left a young woman in critical condition last night.
The woman, 21, was in the hallway of her apartment building on the 400 block of South 15th Street near Lombard shortly before 4 a.m. As she was opening her front door, a man approached from behind and slashed her across the face.
After taking $15, the man fled on foot in an unknown direction.
The woman was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital in critical condition.
Police have not yet made any arrests.
