Vance Worley, Phillies get roughed up

The Twins jumped all over Vance Worley early and often in an 11-7 romp yesterday in Grapefruit League play.

Worley (1-3), making his fifth start this spring, allowed five earned runs (11 total) on 11 hits in four innings. The Twins led 4-0 after the first two frames, thanks to two home runs.

Jimmy Rollins put the Phillies on the board with an RBI single in the third. The shortstop finished 2-for-3 with a run scored. The star of the show was nonroster invite Henry Luna. The outfielder slugged a solo homer in the ninth and went 3-for-5.

The Phillies dropped their spring record to 11-14, while the Twins improved to 15-12. Cole Hamels gets the start today against Tampa Bay.

New swag

Back home, the Phillies unveiled new merchandise at the Majestic Clubhouse Store at the ballpark:

Phillies-branded Panini press and BBQ branders can etch the team’s trademark “P” logo into your favorite sandwich or hamburger.

Yoga mats and Phanatic dangle hats are fun new items. Mats are pink and the dangle is a Phanatic likeness ready to plop on your head.

OYO figurines are LEGO-like (can’t say LEGO due to copyright) toys in the mold of Phillies players. Ten different players are available.

Disposable diapers with the Phillies logo.
