Last year, Eagles QB Mike Vick was the runner-up — in voting conducted by the entire country — to Peyton Hillis for the honor to grace the cover of the EA Sports franchise, Madden NFL 12.
ESPN devoted a whole segment to it, reading the results live on-air, with Hillis and Vick both in studio. Vick bowed out gracefully, if you remember.
This year, each NFL team is getting two nominees and fans must first decide which one is their finalist and then said person will be thrown into the national ring to compete against the other 31 finalists. For the Eagles, Vick and RB LeSean McCoy are the choices.
