(VIDEO) Police Release Video in Fatal Mill Creek Triple Shooting

Police have released surveillance video in the brutal robbery of a Mill Creek grocery store that killed three last night.

Porfirio Nunez, 49, his wife Juanna Nunez, 44, and sister Lina
Sanchez, 48, all died of multiple gunshot wounds when two gunmen held up Lorena’s Grocery on 50th Street near Parrish.

Lt. Norman Davenport said this evening that, moments before the robbery, the store received an anonymous phone call asking if they had surveillance cameras, but police are unsure if the call was related.

“There is no indication this is anything other than a commercial robbery,” said Davenport, though some neighbors speculated that a certain amount of premeditation may have been involved.

Police are seeking two gunmen: a 5’4″ to 5’6″ black man, approximately 25 years old, with a thick build and mustache and a 6′ thin black man who appears to be older than 25.

They ask anyone with information concerning the incident to call the Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334.

Family members and friends gathered in the streets surrounding the store to remember the victims earlier today.

“They were the nicest of people. If you didn’t have money to buy something, they’d let you go. If one of the block captains asked them to contribute to a block party or to the block, they did it, no questions asked,” said family friend Keith Edwards, 53. “This shouldn’t have happened.”

“I was supposed to come today to visit [Sanchez],” said friend Evelyn Diaz, 25, of Camden as she rearranged stuffed animals at a makeshift memorial in front of the store. “It’s tragic that this is the visit I ended up with.”
