Weckerly’s introduces a new Halloween ice cream sandwich

Who needs Halloween candy when you can get a mind blowingly good ice cream sandwich crafted in the spirit of the season? Enter “The Creature,” Weckerly’s newest chilly treat — available for a limited time only.

Beginning Friday, Oct. 27, foodies can get their hands on this delectable concoction at Weckerly’s brick and mortar location in Fishtown (9 West Girard Ave.) as well as various Weckerly vendors in the area.

Inspired by Frankenstein’s monster (which makes sense given the creamery is located inside of a former laboratory), it is constructed from a variety of elements “sewn” together.

It features pumpkin caramel ice cream in between a chocolate cookie and a butterscotch cookie topped with dark chocolate peanut butter ganache and chocolate ice cream with cookies & cream marshmallow swirl with peanut butter icing on top and a tiny square of waffle cone separating each layer.

(You might need a flowchart to better appreciate the complexity of each bite!)

Don’t think this treat could be any more decadent? Think again! 36 of “The Creature” sandwiches will be dipped in chocolate and guests will find a gift card for Weckerly’s in the wrapping.
