What you need to know about voting in Pennsylvania’s presidential primaries

Pennsylvania is no Iowa —or New Hampshire or South Carolina, for that matter — but its delegates still count.

The state is scheduled to hold its presidential primary for both the Republican and Democratic parties next month.

Voters can head to the polls starting from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26. To find your nearest polling location, click here.

Pennsylvania’s primary is closed, meaning that voters who are registered to the party holding the primary can only vote in that one. But no fear, there is still time to register before the March 28 deadline.

Online voter registration is now available in Pennsylvania at register.votesPA.com. To register to vote in the state, you must:

A citizen of the United States for at least one month before the next primary, special, municipal, or general election.
A resident of Pennsylvania and the election district in which you want to register and vote for at least 30 days before the next primary, special, municipal, or general election.
At least 18 years of age on or before the day of the next primary, special, municipal, or general election.
