Woman allegedly sped wrong way past DA’s security detail during DUI

A Philadelphia woman is accused of speeding while drunk right under the nose of Philadelphia’s chief prosecutor.

Authorities said Chanae Morris, 24, was speeding in the wrong laneSunday eveningon the 500 block of North 63rd Street when she passed District Attorney Seth Williams, who was traveling with his security detail.

When Williams’ detail attempted to pull Morris over, she allegedly ran through several traffic lights and crashed into another car.

Morris was arrested Sunday and arraigned on Monday. She is charged with DUI, criminal mischief, and two counts each of simple assault and reckless endangerment.

Her bail was set at $7,500.

Morris is next due in court for a preliminary hearing on June 12.
