A Delaware woman has been arrested for allegedly trying to sell her newborn son for $15,000.
Authorities have arrested Bridget Wismer, 33, of Brookside Park, Del., and John Gavaghan, 54, of Philadelphia.
New Castle County detectives were reportedly contacted in early September by Wismer’s family members who claimed she was trying to sell the baby, but police could not obtain enough evidence for an arrest warrant. Last week, however, authorities got a search warrant for Gavaghan’s home and found evidence linking him to the crime, according to reports.
The two are charged with dealing in children and second-degree conspiracy.
