Sure, you can travel outside the city limits over a weekend, but if you’re pressed for time, there’s no reason you can’t stop and gaze at the foliage on your way to work, on your lunchbreak or even on a leisurely weekend stroll.

With more than 12,000 plants in their living collection, there’s a lot to take in at the Morris Arboretum. To help you on your leaf peeping mission, why not take their Great Trees tour? You’re bound to see the best and brightest fall foliage that way.

Independence National Historic Park

Who says you have to be on your feet in your leaf peeping adventures? Cozy up on a bench in Washington Square Park with a good book and a coffee from nearby Talula’s Daily and to take in the fall foliage, all you have to do is look up and around — you’re surrounded by trees! It’s also a great place for people watching, if you’re into that sort of thing.
